As part of our Autumn attraction campaign, the Careers in Asia Team has been on the road! We’re visiting the traditional universities and business schools, but we have also been stopping by places you might not expect to see us!

This week has seen the team visit the Taiwanese Food Fêtein Royal Oak, London. This incredible event saw a whole host of Taiwanese delicacies such as bubble tea, Douhua (sweet or salty tofu pudding), beef noodles and tea soaked eggs! We had our very own stall there, and although we weren’t selling tasty treats, we did have our team giving our Careers advice and encouraging people to apply for the Careers in Asia Recruitment Summit next February.

The team also visited King’s College London as part of their annual careers fair. It is always so exciting to meet bright students and graduates that want to take their careers back home to Asia! We answered a lot of interesting questions about the current employment market across Asia. With the news that the Tiger economies may not expand quite as much in 2012 as originally thought, the expected growth rates are still impressive and realistic.

Lastly, in conjunction with our sister initiative, Careers in Africa, the team flew all the way from our headquarters in London to Aberdeen! We visited Robert Gordon University to give a presentation on what we do, the companies we recruit for, and the current economic climate in Asia. If you were there, we hope you found it beneficial!

All in all, it has been a tiring week for the Careers in Asia Team, but they can’t rest for long! The coming weeks will take them all over the country and into Europe as we search for the best candidates for the Careers in Asia Recruitment Summit, 10 - 12 February 2012!
